Kathy Conway

kathyKathy gained her knack for organization and discipline as a US Army Enlisted Specialist at Ft. Benning, GA, and as a Logistician for the Mounted Warfare Test Bed at Ft. Knox. After three years keeping everything from visiting generals to the inventory in line, event management, frankly, is easy.

Since she began working with York Management, Kathy has worked hard on the The Ryder Cup Experience, helping organize all the events for this one week event series, assisting with sponsor relations, and coordinating the Louisville and state task forces for the event. She has had a similar role with the annual Mint Jubilee Derby Gala, where she was a volunteer coordinator and host, co-chairing the celebrity committee, working with national PR firms, and helping coordinate security with the Metro Sheriff’s office.

She worked hand in hand with Tonya York Dees for many years at Greater Louisville Inc. in the small business and membership development department, helping Dees achieve her $1,000,000 goal for sponsorship for the Inc. 500 conference, and assisting in all manner of event planning and organization. She also worked in coordination and management at the Kentucky Farm Bureau, Inspire Medical, and Sheltowee LLC.

As a community volunteer, she has worked on the Professional Business and Financial Conference (PBFN) in Dallas, the Christmas in the Capital Gala for the Leukemia Society in Frankfort, KY, and the Homeless Benefit Ball.

Conway received her Associate Degree in Fine Arts from Elizabethtown Community College in Elizabethtown, KY, and completed the Primary Leadership Development Course in Fort Benning, GA.
